Air freight

Airfreight is suitable for the transportation of goods that need a short delivery time and minimal warehouse stock.

    Documents used in airfreight:

  • Air Waybill or AWB;
  • Manifest of goods;
  • Commercial invoice or packing slip issued by the shipper.
    Good to know:

  • Weight and volume ratio in airfreight: 1 m3 = 167 kg.
  • The organisation of airfreight is based on the Warsaw Convention.
  • In airfreight the carrier’s liability is up to USD 20 per gross kg.
  • Air Waybill or AWB is an international shipping waybill, the number of which is used to identify the shipment. In addition to AWB a freight forwarder may also issue a House Air Waybill or HAWB.
