Roadfreight is suitable for the transportation of goods within Europe, if the quantity is large, and a low unit cost is important.

Balti Logistika offers international transportation of both partial and full truck loads with regular departure and arrival times.

Documents used in roadfreight:

• CMR – international waybill;
• manifest of goods;
• commercial invoice or packing slip issued by the shipper.

• Weight and volume ratio in roadfreight: 1 m3 = 333 kg.
• The organisation of roadfreight is based on the CMR Convention.
• In roadfreight the carrier’s liability is up to SDR 8.33 per gross kg.
• SDR (Special Drawing Rights) – an international reserve asset.
• dimensions of EUR pallet are 120 * 80 cm.
• dimensions of FIN pallet are 120 * 100 cm.
• 1 EUR pallet = 740 kg; 1 FIN pallet = 925 kg; 1 LM (loading metre) = 1850 kg.
• Dimensions of trailer – length 13,6 m, width 2,45 m, height 2,5-2,6 m.
• A trailer usually holds up to 32 EUR pallets or 26 FIN pallets.
